Specialised pilates classes
overview
At my studio, I offer a variety of Pilates classes to accommodate different fitness levels and goals.
As well as reformer and mat Pilates classes I offer specialised classes like Pilates for Runners to focus on enhancing running performance. At the same time, Pilates for Older Adults offers safe, supportive sessions to improve balance and strength, and Pilates for Motorbikers helps strengthen the core and enhance stability and control on the bike.
At the Studio there is Pilates for Post-Natal, which is designed to support expectant and new mums through gentle, effective exercises. Each class is crafted to ensure participants achieve their fitness goals with precision and enjoyment.

SPECIALISED CLASSES
Pilates for post natal
This new Postnatal Reformer Class starts on October 9th at 7.10 pm and is targeted at mums at least 12 weeks postnatal and cleared for exercise by their health professional. This small class (no more than 6 ), ensures personal attention throughout the 55-minute session. I aim to ensure each class focuses on strengthening core muscles, engaging the pelvic floor, and utilizing functional, challenging movements providing support to recover our body, and rebuilding core strength. The crucial thing is that I work to make each session gentle and supportive, ensuring your safety and well-being.
Pilates THERAPY
A Pilates Therapist works with individuals to help people gain their movement goals. In these personalised 1:1 sessions with Ely she uses help address movement issues, recover from injury or refine your sporting technique. This will help you get the most out of your Pilates practice and improve posture, increase flexibility, balance, and control.
Pilates for older adults
As we age, maintaining strength is important. This session focuses on improving balance, flexibility, and strength in a safe and supportive environment. If you think it will be too challenging, don’t worry; I can modify everything to suit your individual needs.
Pilates for CORE AND PELVIC FLOOR
It can be difficult to re-connect with our bodies after childbirth. Even more so if issues like diastasis, prolapse or incontinence are still with us several months, or even years, after. You may have been advised to keep doing pelvic floor exercises, even though they don't seem to be helping. Maybe you've tried all the 'quick fixes' on instagram? Or perhaps you've been told to just put up with it as it's part of becoming a mother, or that the only way to improve is to have surgery.
SPECIALIST CLASSES FOR SPORTS
Pilates helped me hold my posture while running, initially short runs, then up to a few marathons. I believe through Pilates we can build our core strength to keep ourselves standing tall and strong while we run. And that is exactly what we do in this class. Help everyone to strengthen the muscles used in running, improving flexibility, and preventing injuries. Classes include exercises that enhance core stability, leg strength, and overall body balance. Whether you’re training for a marathon or enjoy casual jogging, this class will support your running performance.
pilates for Motorbiking
This class is designed to help motorcyclists strengthen their core, enhancing stability and control on the bike. Pilates, both reformer and mat, focuses on core strength, flexibility, and balance—key elements for safe and efficient riding. A strong core reduces the risk of injury, improves posture, and supports long hours on the bike by alleviating strain on the back and shoulders.
